Job Description
The Registered Nurse is responsible for the coordination of patient care, utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation. The Registered Nurse is responsible for prescribing, delegating and evaluating the holistic nursing care rendered. As a professional, the Registered Nurse contributes to the smooth operation of the nursing unit and for the professional development of self and others by being a role model and providing leadership.

Education / License / Certification:
- Current license in state of Tennessee or compact state as Registered Nurse, in good standing
- Current BLS required
- Certification as a Hyperbaric Registered Nurse - preferred
- Certification in Wound Care - preferred
Experience / Skills:
- Must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development across the life span to assess the age-specific needs of infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients and to provide the appropriate care.
- Wound care experience preferred but may begin at entry level and successfully complete orientation at the Wound care center.
- Hyperbaric nursing experience preferred
- Prior experience in wound care.
- If new graduate, evidence of recent preceptor ship and/or clinical in a clinical setting within last year.
- Analytical skills necessary to prepare patient plan of care, implement effective nursing care and develop solution to problems concerning patient's mental and physical well-being.
- Interpersonal and communication skills necessary to address issues in tactful and timely manner to patients, families and hospital personnel
- Attention to detail and concentration
- Ability to work in fast-paced, ever-changing outpatient clinic environment
