Status: Full Time
Shift: 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM

Job Summary: The Operating Room Secretary is a member of the Surgery Department who works under the direct supervision of the Registered Nurse in charge. The Secretary performs clerical, receptionist and communicative duties necessary to assist the health care team as they provide patient care. This position does not deliver direct patient care.
Qualifications:
Education: Must be at least 18 years of age. A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred. Formalized computer training and as well college course work is also preferred.
Experience: At least twelve (12) months prior work experience is required. Must manage high volumes of work within strict deadlines; perform duties without prompting and with very little supervision. Must have experience with Microsoft office applications, including Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint. Knowledge of medical terminology is preferred.
Licenses/Certifications: Must maintain a current BCLS certification.
